PP AI Voice Assistant BETA

This privacy policy describes how the PP AI Voice Assistant BETA Chrome Extension ("we", "our", or "the extension") collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information We Collect

1. Voice Data

- When you use the microphone feature, your voice input is temporarily processed to convert speech to text
- Voice data is not stored permanently and is only used for the immediate conversation

2. Text Conversations

- Your questions and AI responses during the current session
- Conversation history is only maintained during your active session and is not persisted

3. Settings and Preferences

- Your API keys (if provided) for OpenRouter and Cartesia services
- Voice preferences and other configuration settings
- These are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API

How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Process your voice commands and text queries
• Generate AI responses to your questions
• Synthesize voice responses using text-to-speech
• Maintain your preferences and settings

Third-Party Services

This extension may connect to:

• OpenRouter API - For AI language model processing
• Cartesia API - For voice synthesis
• Google Search - When using the search tool feature

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their policies if you use these features.

Data Storage

• All settings and API keys are stored locally on your device
• No conversation data is sent to our servers (we don't have any)
• No personal information is collected or transmitted beyond what's necessary for the AI services

Data Security

- API keys are stored using Chrome's secure storage API
- All communications with third-party APIs use HTTPS encryption
- No data is shared with unauthorized parties

Your Rights

You can:

• Clear all stored data by removing the extension
• Modify or delete your API keys at any time through the settings
• Choose not to use voice features and type instead

BETA Testing Notice

This is a BETA version of the extension. Features and privacy practices may change as we improve the extension based on user feedback.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
